Project consisted of: addition of a second floor to a traditional local ranch type house. Existing one car garage has been expanded into a two car garage and the bay window in the great room has been extended into the yard. The Great room also features a dramatic two story open space. Project also involved complete remodeling of existing house areas, installation of a new kitchen with stock cabinetry, appliances and custom granite countertops. Master Suite has a Master bathroom partially open to the bedroom with a whirlpool tub, separate shower, two lavatories, toilet and bidet. Two additional full bathrooms were installed and two powder rooms. All tile in the house are typical stock tile that have been designed into custom layouts. Basement has been finished into a play area. All new electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems have been put in. Heating/Cooling system consists of two zones: first floor with a basement and second floor with a loft. New large diameter copper water lines from the basement and hot water recirculation system. New hardwood floor have been installed throughout, painting of the entire house. All new Pella Windows and Patio doors. New Pella entrance doors. (seventy eight units in total).
This project with its innovative roof lines and open plan has stirred up quite a bit of controversy in a local community, it has also won an honorable mention in Metropolitan Home Magazine! Look for other Leader Builders projects that have been published or won the awards.
